The Doll Each doll is lovingly sewn one-at-a-time with an embroidered, smiling face, has cloth hair, a body that is stuffed with polyester fibre filling and stands 50cm tall.
The Clothes The clothes are made so that they can be removed - but no buttons or press studs (snaps) are ever used. Instead, Seamstress Pat has opted to use velcro (hook & loop) which is machine stitched directly to the outfit. A basic outfit for a girl doll would include a dress, underpants, and shoes. The basic outfit for a boy doll would include a shirt, shorts and shoes. *Please Note: depending upon the type of outfit requested, it may or may not include socks.
Washing Instructions Both the doll and most outfits are machine washable (exception: wool tartans). Seamstress Pat recommends that you do not wash the clothes in the same load as the doll as some fabrics may bleed onto the doll. So, in one load - place the naked doll only inside a pillowcase (or a netted lingerie bag) before placing it in the washer. Then, in a second load you simply place the clothes only inside a pillowcase (or a netted lingerie bag) and follow the same washing instructions. *NOTE: Whether washing the clothes or the doll - it is always best to set the washer to the GENTLE cycle. : )
